Misinformation and lack of understanding can lead to discrimination, marginalization, and violence against individuals who identify outside of traditional binary norms. Education can help break down stereotypes, reduce prejudice, and promote acceptance and inclusion for people of all gender identities and expressions. Through education, individuals learn tools and language to communicate respectfully and effectively with people of diverse gender identities.  By staying informed and taking action, allies and educators can help create a world where all LGBTQ+ individuals feel safe and supported, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
